Finished in silver plate and at least 100 years old, this cornet is in excellent condition! From Rich: "Ohh, it's a player! This is a very nice little horn." Valves have been rebuilt, too. Previously owned by Matt Phillips.
The Vega Company of Boston purchased the Standard Band Instrument Company in 1909, and continued to make brass instruments under the Vega and Standard names into the early 20th century. This horn has both names stamped on the bell, so we believe it was made right around that transition period.
